The Manager of Health and Wellness Strategy is responsible for providing nutrition and wellness leadership across all business functions by identifying and developing strategic nutrition communication opportunities, supporting the brand promise with evidence-based messaging and resolving emerging issues. This messaging includes: e-commerce, digital, media and print. This position is part of the Marketing team responsible for promoting the Fresh Thyme Market brand, and its offerings of high quality fresh, natural selection, expansive organic assortment throughout the store, 100% “Free From” private label products and extensive vitamins & body care department. Position will follow a hybrid schedule: Monday-Wednesday in Downer's Grove IL office, Thursday-Friday remote. Some travel expected around 15-30%. · Build off existing and develop new targeted nutrition communication strategies for Fresh Thyme customers that ensures educational messaging is relevant and creates a call to action – helping our customers progress on their individual journeys to living healthier lives · Create nutrition training resources to be used by the support office and operations teams to deliver consistent, high-quality nutrition communication with customers · Leverage and select tools, educational techniques and forums to build Fresh Thyme attribute program to create health and wellness platform awareness, recommendations and use of food products and nutritional supplements · Develop vendor supported communication and engagement programs to be executed through various channels including but not limited to: in-store (e.g., Dietitian Ambassador programming), e-commerce, digital, media and print to build and strengthen customer relationships · Collaborate with internal creative and external agency resources to create nutrition content for print, e-commerce, digital, media and in-store events/programs, always aligned with our brand promise to help customers with real solutions for healthier lives through Quality, Experience and Community · Develop and manage process review and approval of all nutrition content and communication resources · Responsible for partnering with Community Affairs (includes PR agency) on customer-facing brand ambassadorship · Represent the Fresh Thyme brand as the company's sole brand ambassador across all channels and communication outlets · As brand ambassador, this role is responsible for participating in media outreach and segments such as live Television, social media content development, editorial proposals and additional communication elements · Develop innovative and on-trend content to be used across print and digital channels including but not limited to healthful recipes, nutrition tips and recommendations, industry trends, etc. · Responsible for ensuring nutrition programs and content support promotional activities and specific program launches set forth by Senior Leadership within the Fresh Thyme Market organization · Partner with Meijer synergies for regulatory affair requirements to develop supportive language for health claims which will provide differentiation in the marketplace · Develop clear roles and responsibilities for nutrition initiatives · Prepare and maintain annual budgets and long-range planning as necessary Education and Experience · BS in Nutrition Science, Food Science or related field. · Must be a Registered Dietitian · Retail experience strongly preferred · Experienced in content creation, development and implementation · Must be comfortable on camera and well-versed within the everchanging media landscape · 7-10 years of professional experience that includes nutrition science, wellness, and/or integrative and holistic health · 3+ years as direct management/leadership in a corporate nutrition role Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities · Solid understanding of the consumer industry landscape and market trends · Proven ability to build science-based nutrition communication plans, processes and systems · Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while being flexible, collaborative and deadline driven · Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate others toward common goals · Comfortable and experienced with both live and filmed media/Television segments · Experience in project management and large-scale program development · Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills, and a strong aptitude with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Email Seniority level
