Surgical Technician - Multi–Campus Float Pool

The Surgical Technologist is responsible for facilitating surgical procedures by assembling instrumentation, equipment, and supplies. They work as part of a surgical team under the supervision of a registered nurse, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical support staff to provide patient care that aligns with the mission, vision, and values of the Surgical Services department and Swedish Medical Center.
This role involves adherence to all Swedish Medical Center and Perioperative Services' policies and procedures. The facility includes five operating room locations on the First Hill campus, one on Cherry Hill, and one on the Ballard campus.
Required Qualifications:
Completion of a surgical technician vocational program or equivalent training documentation.
Washington Surgical Technologist Registration upon hire.
American Heart Association BLS certification upon hire.
At least 5 years of current operating room experience.
Experience in multiple surgical areas such as General, MIS, Vascular, GU, GYN, Gastro, Plastics, ENT, Eye, MaxFac, Ortho, Neuro, Spine, Peds, Thoracic, and Transplant, as outlined in the skills/competency checklist.
Proficiency in computer usage.
