Job Description Description: The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on the facility equipment and property structures, in addition to performing ground maintenance including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
Duties / Responsibilities: Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary Perform facilities cleaning as needed Regularly check community spaces to identify issues with litter, mechanical issues, or breakdowns, repairs, cleaning, and patch work. Implement preventative maintenance measures Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies Complete inspections of offices and warehouse regularly or as Facilities Manager request Repair and troubleshoot systems and complete preventative maintenance Plan, schedule, and track preventative maintenance Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocol Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner Maintain the cleanliness of outside spaces such as parking lots and sidewalks Oversee the trash containers on the company premises Available three times a week for Team Meetings with Facilities Manager Required to perform maintenance in multiple locations Perform other maintenance duties as requested Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements:
Skills and Competencies: Valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record Reliable transportation High School diploma or GED required Minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar role Experience with plumbing, drywall, painting Must have electrical knowledge Prior warehouse experience a plus Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment Team player mind set required to work and support other departments Able to follow detailed instructions Detail oriented with an aptitude for problem solving Available to work weekends and after hours as needed Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including lawn mowers and small hand tools Effective written and oral communication skills Able to work well with minimal supervision Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures Working Conditions: Prolonged periods of standing or walking. Physically capable of lifting up to 30-50 pounds at a time unassisted. Must be available to work overtime or weekends as needed. Must be available on-call when required.
