Must Have Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in DataStage (ETL), preferably 11.7, UNIX, shell scripting, Control-M, and db2/Sybase/Oracle SQL, Jira, Bitbucket skills. Job Description: Position Overview The client has an exciting opportunity for a Development role in the Enterprise BTO department of the Information Technology division. We are seeking a motivated individual to design and develop enhancements to software applications on DataStage ETL (11.x). As a member of the IT development team, the individual would implement software changes and address data-related issues. The individual would champion technology and tool changes/improvements that enhance delivery processes. Work collaboratively with other open-minded, technology-savvy, and agile team members. Responsibilities Develop effective solutions to new and existing data reporting requirements and data issues primarily using DataStage. Perform root cause analysis and resolve existing issues. Identify gaps in existing processes, improve procedures, automate manual tasks, and ensure application stability. Participate in analyzing agile user stories; develop solutions based on business requirements and architecture, prototype if necessary, perform unit testing, and deploy quality solutions. Analyze and modify DataStage ETL and Unix jobs. Support applications in production. Basic Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience. At least 3-4 years of experience in DataStage (preferably 11.7), UNIX, shell scripting, Control-M, and db2/Sybase/Oracle SQL, Jira, Bitbucket skills. Strong analytical and development skills for troubleshooting and effective solution development. Team player with a positive attitude. Innovative, willing to take on challenges with calculated risks. Continuous improvement mindset for development processes and tools. Experience with all phases of SDLC, including agile methodologies. Quick learner of new technologies and tools.
