$90,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr About Us
Brainbase is to AI workers what Retool is to internal tools.
We envision a future where every company has an AI workforce working alongside their human team. Brainbase enables businesses to create those enterprise-grade AI workers.
Brainbase is built on a new type of AI agent language our founder developed during his PhD at Harvard, which allows for more complex workflows on a longer time horizon, enabling us to move entire workloads from human employees to AI workers.
We’ve scaled to $XM+ ARR in revenue in one year, and are looking to reach $XXM+ ARR in revenue in the next 6 months. Our customers range from SMBs to Fortune 50s. We’ve raised a seed round from YC, 500 Global and other top tier firms, with participation from the founders of Youtube and Hubspot, as well as many top YC alumni.
As our
Founding Growth Marketer , you’ll be instrumental in shaping our public presence, branding, and growth engine. You’ll produce compelling content, share demos, run campaigns, and experiment boldly to expand our online awareness, recruiting pipeline, and inbound leads.
You’ll be a critical, long-term hire who owns our overall marketing presence, working hand-in-hand with Sales (to feed them warm leads) and Product (to refine positioning). You’ll operate across multiple channels—organic and paid, digital and offline—and act as the glue between product marketing, demand generation, and brand strategy.
What You’ll Do
Define and Execute the Growth Strategy
Develop Brainbase’s end-to-end marketing plan—covering acquisition, activation, and expansion. Prioritize marketing channels (SEO, paid ads, content marketing, partnerships, etc.) based on budget, audience, and ROI.
Content & Campaign Ownership
Create and manage a content calendar that positions Brainbase as a leading voice in AI and automation. Produce engaging assets (blog posts, case studies, webinars, social campaigns) showcasing Brainbase’s technical capabilities and company culture.
Demand Generation & Lead Nurturing
Build and optimize funnels that drive high-intent leads for our Sales team. Collaborate with Sales Ops to track conversion metrics and continuously refine targeting and messaging.
Brand Building & Storytelling
Shape Brainbase’s brand narrative across all touchpoints—website, social media, press releases, industry events. Showcase team accomplishments and customer wins to establish credibility and thought leadership in the AI space.
Analytics & Experimentation
Use data-driven insights to iterate on campaigns and channels, ensuring continuous improvement in cost-per-lead, user engagement, and pipeline contribution. Own marketing analytics: define KPIs, set up dashboards, track performance, and communicate results to leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product to align product launches and messaging with market needs. Coordinate with Sales and Customer Success to identify upsell opportunities, product-market fit signals, and closed-loop feedback from customers.
Hiring & Team Building
As the founding marketer, you’ll eventually grow and lead a marketing function. You’ll help define roles, onboard new team members, and shape Brainbase’s marketing culture.
Who You Are
We care deeply about the
intangibles —the traits that set the best marketers apart—over strict checkboxes of past titles or experience.
Hunger You have a track record of going the extra mile, consistently driving growth, and persisting despite obstacles. You’re driven by a passion for winning and lifelong learning. Humility You know there’s always more to learn and bigger goals to conquer. You welcome feedback, listen more than you speak, and view customers and teammates as equal partners. Heart (Grit) You show up prepared, push through challenges, and don’t stop until the job is done right. You’re resilient in the face of ambiguity and remain optimistic when faced with tough challenges or shifting targets. Creativity You bring fresh perspectives to marketing campaigns and experiments—whether that’s a clever ad concept, a unique content angle, or a new way of reaching potential customers. You thrive on out-of-the-box thinking that separates your brand from the noise. Adaptability You’re excited by change, quick to adopt new tools and processes, and comfortable with iterative learning. You can pivot from data-driven campaign optimizations to brand-level strategy discussions without skipping a beat.
Qualifications
Proven Track Record in Growth Marketing Experience owning or significantly contributing to demand generation, user acquisition, or revenue-focused marketing initiatives. Mid-market or enterprise exposure is a plus—familiarity with longer, more complex funnels. Data-Driven Mindset Ability to analyze funnel metrics and KPIs, identify optimization levers, and implement solutions quickly. Fluency in analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel, HubSpot/Marketo, etc.). Content and Channel Expertise Demonstrated skill in building content strategies—blogging, social media, SEO/SEM, and email campaigns. Hands-on experience with paid channels (LinkedIn, Google Ads, etc.) and associated budget management. Startup Environment Experience Comfortable operating with ambiguity, resource constraints, and shifting priorities. Proven ability to work cross-functionally and directly with Product, Sales, and leadership. Communication & Storytelling Skills Gravitas to present to executives internally and externally, with strong storytelling ability to transform technical details into compelling narratives. High Bar for Ownership You should be able to both define goals and execute them—from ideation to measurement. If you don’t have direct experience in one area, you’ll find a way to learn or bring in the right resources.
(Note: We value unique backgrounds; if you feel you have what it takes but don’t perfectly match every bullet, we still want to hear from you. The best candidates will find a way to make sure we have a conversation!)
