$52,000.00/yr - $55,000.00/yr Position Summary

Under general supervision, the Statistical Analyst position will review, correct, and approve company data submissions for one or more insurance lines. This position will prepare and distribute summarized reports proficiently in balancing, auditing, and resolution. This position will also be responsible for the accuracy and timely completion of all work products and participation in project teams as directed.

Principal Responsibilities

Audits company submissions for edit errors and reasonability. Investigates and resolves out of balance conditions and data problems. Prepares external reports and data files, including balancing, auditing, and issue resolution. Communicates verbally and in writing with subscriber companies regarding data problems and solutions. Corrects company data, as directed. Adheres to standard processes and completes all required documentation. Recommends and documents updates to business procedures for the preparation of assigned reports, as needed. Proposes improvements to the business processes and/or technology to improve quality or increase efficiency. Applies basic techniques of balancing and auditing in the preparation of external reports. Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of all quality assurance tracking resources for both auditing and report production. Communicates data reporting issues and/or system problems to the appropriate teams. Assists in training other analysts on personal productivity tools and basic job functions.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Insurance or related industry experience. Experience: Functional knowledge of all installed personal computer tools – Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to multitask to complete assignments efficiently. Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, with internal departments and externally with customers. Works effectively with team members within the department and across departments.
