While we do not engage directly in U.S. government contracting, familiarity with government contracting practices and compliance is preferred due to the nature of our customer base and industry. Our organization includes two wholly owned subsidiaries whose financials are consolidated into our corporate reporting. We operate in a dynamic, hands-on environment where strategic thinking and tactical execution go hand-in-hand. Position Summary: The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, leading budgeting and forecasting, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role will manage all aspects of accounting and finance, including the consolidation of subsidiary financials, and will partner closely with cross-functional teams to drive business performance. Key Responsibilities: Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including consolidation of financials from two subsidiaries Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP Develop and manage the annual budget, forecasts, and long-range financial plans Monitor financial performance and provide analysis, insights, and recommendations to executive leadership Ensure appropriate internal controls, policies, and procedures are in place and operating effectively Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and banking relationships Oversee cash flow management and financial risk assessment Support strategic initiatives, pricing models, and business case development Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA strongly preferred) 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance Experience with consolidated financial reporting and multi-entity operations Aerospace and defense industry experience preferred Knowledge of government contracting principles (e.g., FAR/DFARS) is a plus but not required Strong systems proficiency (ERP experience preferred, especially Priority) and advanced Excel skills Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability Seniority level
