This position is based at and has primary responsibility for the Baltimore Ravens Boys & Girls Club at Hilton Recreation Center but will serve as the facility leader for all Clubs in the Baltimore region. The Facility Manager will maintain close, regular contact with Club professional staff to ensure all Baltimore Region sites provide a clean, healthy, safe, and positive environment. The Facility Manager will bear primary responsibility for preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance, collaborating across the organization to guarantee quick and satisfactory resolution of all facility related needs. This role will drive forward BGCMB’s Culture of Safety through all tasks and responsibilities, holding the wellbeing of all members, staff, and volunteers as chief priority. Hours: Full-time

Location: Baltimore, MD

Salary: $55,000/year - $65,000/year

Position Summary

Internal Leadership

Serve as first point of contact for all minor and major facility concerns Lead Baltimore Ravens Boys & Girls Club team on all physical-plant related matters Build relationships with all Admin and Club staff, establishing self as BGCMB’s chief resource on maintaining facility excellence Lead the implementation and activation of BGCMB’s Culture of Safety as it relates to physical safety systems across Clubs with the Baltimore Region

External Leadership

Serve as BGCMB representation and point of contact with existing vendors and partners that support Club facility needs Identify gaps in BGCMB’s existing partner network, and work to identify and build relationships with new partners to support BGCMB’s mission and operations

Responsibilities

Baltimore Ravens Club

Hold primary responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of the new Baltimore Ravens Boys & Girls Club at Hilton Recreation Center (30,000 sq. ft facility with gymnasium, classroom/offices, outdoor turf field, and basketball court) Maintain relationships with facility partners and coordinate all preventative and routine maintenance (Cleaning, Pest, Major Mechanical, Groundskeeping, etc.) Represent BGCMB as needed at events and sports activities hosted by Green Street Academy at the Club’s facilities Meet regularly with Club leadership to identify events and activities that will require resources or facility accommodations outside of regular operation standards

Facility

Serve as point of contact and ‘First Line of Defense’ with area Clubs to assess and address all facility needs Meet regularly with Club leadership to identify existing and potential facility challenges Perform regular Club visits in the Baltimore Region, with the goal of maintaining all Clubs’ facilities in good working order. Performing minor routine maintenance tasks as needed, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical work, and painting. Management of all facilities and maintenance projects, including assessing facilities and maintenance needs, evaluating vendor proposals, negotiating terms, and selecting or recommending (depending on project size) appropriate vendor. Maintain municipal licenses and permits (Fire, Health Department, etc.) for all Clubs in the Baltimore Region Manage relationships with Club owner-entities (Dept. of Rec & Parks, Housing Authority, etc.) to coordinate routine maintenance and emergency response.

Fleet

Ensure all BGCMB fleet vehicles are up to date on maintenance, registration, and general upkeep Maintain BGCMB’s vehicle tracking system and monitor usage Manage BGCMB’s training and certification of approved staff drivers of fleet vehicles

Budgeting & Planning

Contribute to strategic planning by evaluating and projecting future facility needs and proposing options to achieve them. Conduct bulk ordering of supplies and equipment, where appropriate. Assist in the development of the annual budgets. Control expenditures against budget.

Culture of Safety

Ensure a safe and clean environment at all Clubs for members, staff and volunteers. Serve as point of contact with Boys & Girls Clubs of America for the annual External Safety Assessment process Track and ensure proper operation of fire safety systems at all Baltimore Region Clubs Ensure safe use and proper maintenance of equipment and tools Develop and implement training for staff on facility and safety procedures. Lead the organization’s Culture of Safety through all interactions, internal and external

Education & Experience

High school diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education preferred Combination of education, training and experience equivalent to five years in a related technical trade. Demonstrated knowledge of processes related to facility management Ability to manage multiple projects and develop solutions to problems with limited supervision. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, vendors, and community and governmental partners. Technical knowledge of building and maintenance standards, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems Ability to execute and report on the day-to-day financial operations of the organization Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong organization and analytical skills Ability to lift 50 pounds and experience using hand and power tools Analytical, mathematical, problem solving and decision-making skills Effective verbal and listening communication skills Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
