Senior Platform Engineer

Uline, Inc. seeks a Senior Platform Engineer in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin to develop software. Build software applications and web components using platform technologies including .NET 6, IBM Application Servers, IBM MQ, and IBM WebSphere Liberty. Create and test software using DevOps tools including Azure DevOps, IBM Urban Code Deploy, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, and Git. Support .NET Application Servers, Messaging Queues, and DevOps tools covering installation, patching, and general administration. Automate administration, deployment, reporting, and other operational procedures including deployments, log rotations, archiving, and backups. Participate in performance testing, disaster recovery, and turning activities. Monitor and ensure the health of the technical environment. Administer, install, and monitor Java containers including WebSphere Application Server, JBoss, Tomcat, IIS Webservers, and WebLogic. Build and deploy software using Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration tools. Support software on Red Hat Linux and Windows Platforms. Monitor network security. Evaluate network standards including DHCP, DNS, SSL, TCP, UDP, IP, QoS, and ICMP. Monitor networking functions including load balancing and routing. Troubleshoot networks in a server runtime. Automate tasks using Bash, Perl, PowerShell, Ansible, and Python. Develop and monitor web components using RESTful over HTTP. Provide on-call support for production software applications and plan for and apply application software patches. Monitor and track project tasks, timelines, attainment of established milestones, and overall quality of project activities and deliverables. Annual salary: $160,000 - $160,000. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus five progressive years of software development experience, including: (1) Building software applications and web components using platform technologies including IBM Application Servers, .NET, IBM MQ, and IBM WebSphere Liberty; (2) Administering, installing, and monitoring Java containers including WebSphere Application Server, JBoss, Tomcat, WebLogic, and IIS Webservers; (3) Building and deploying software using Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration tools; (4) Supporting software on Red Hat Linux; (5) Creating and testing software using DevOps tools including Azure DevOps, IBM Urban Code Deploy, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, and Git; and (6) Evaluating network standards including DHCP, DNS, SSL, TCP, UDP, IP, QoS, and ICMP.
