Key Responsibilities: Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to develop complete and accurate sitework estimates. Perform quantity take-offs for excavation, grading, utilities (storm, water, sewer), paving, and other civil scopes. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing. Utilize estimating software such as HCSS HeavyBid, Agtek, or similar tools to build and manage estimates. Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess conditions that may impact costs or execution. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to develop pricing strategies and bid submissions. Maintain historical cost data and assist in developing unit pricing and production rates. Track bid results and provide input for continuous improvement in estimating accuracy. Qualifications: 5+ years of heavy civil construction estimating experience, specifically in sitework. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and local market conditions. Proficient in HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Agtek, AutoCAD, or related software. Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and technical specifications. Excellent math, analytical, and organizational skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team setting. Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred (but not required with relevant experience). What's on Offer
