The Vice President, Non-QM will be overseeing the sales and underwriting support of Plaza's Non-QM programs, including providing educating, training and marketing of Plaza's Non-QM and DSCR programs to Underwriters, Account Executives and clients. Additionally the VP Non-QM will act as the liaison between Plaza's Underwriters and investors for exceptions and overall product support. Key responsibilities would include market research, product strategy development with SVP, Secondary Marketing, collaboration with underwriting and sales teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations This role is full-time, exempt and reports to the SVP, Secondary Marketing.

Responsibilities and Duties

Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for promoting and educating associates and clients on Plaza's Non-QM loan offerings, including pricing, features, and target market positioning. Work directly with sales management and marketing to develop a Non-QM marketing strategy. Develop and administer on-going product education program for Underwriters, Account Executives and clients. Lead exception review process including point of contact for underwriting and investor. Work with post-closing team to resolve investor suspense issues. Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes impacting the Non-QM market Collaborate with SVP, Secondary Marketing/Product Development to design new Non-QM loan products that meet market demands and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with SVP, Secondary Marketing/Product Development to identify and implement product specifications, eligibility criteria, and underwriting guidelines for Non-QM loans. Develop product launch plans, including marketing materials and sales training programs. Create and nurture and environment that provides clear and consistent feedback and answers from Underwriters and investors to Underwriters, Account Executives, and clients. Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, underwriting, operations, marketing, and compliance.

Required Skills

Deep understanding of the mortgage lending landscape, including loan origination, underwriting, and regulatory requirements, with a specific focus on Non-QM and DSCR loan programs. Proven track record of leading a specialty product-related team, preferably within the Non-QM space. Excellent communication skills. Work directly with SVP, Product Development and Chief Underwriter to manage credit risk associated with Non-QM loans by implementing appropriate underwriting guidelines commensurate with Plaza's risk profile while meeting the demands of the competitive marketplace.
