$70,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr Position Summary:
The
AB
primarily assists the broker team by marketing basic submissions/accounts, servicing active and expired policy files, and meeting the day-to-day needs of retail clients; all in accordance with established Brown & Riding values, goals, and procedures. Essential Functions:
Manage the marketing of basic accounts by preparing submissions, approaching carriers for quotes, and negotiating coverage; requiring little to no support from senior members of the team for most accounts. Develop skills in marketing/handling complex accounts with assistance from senior team members. Meet and exceed client expectations throughout the submission process by managing coverage goals, priorities, and expectations with minimal input from the Broker and senior team members. Solicit timely responses to submissions and negotiate pricing and terms with underwriters, providing transparent updates to clients. Gather and develop complete loss summaries and analysis as needed. Prepare high-quality, error-free submissions and present this information effectively to underwriters verbally and in writing. Identify and correct inconsistencies or errors in relevant documents and clarify issues with clients and underwriters promptly. Ensure the quality, timeliness, and accuracy of quotes, binders, checklists, and other marketing documentation for handled accounts. Follow internal Quality Management System (QMS) standards to meet quality goals. Ensure all transactions comply with regulatory requirements and company policies, maintaining accurate records. Communicate coverage terms clearly between clients and underwriters, ensuring policies meet client expectations. Maintain and develop relationships with carriers, including some in-person contact, usually accompanied by senior team members or your broker. Other Responsibilities:
Provide training and guidance to Production Assistants and/or Production Associates to support their growth. Collaborate with the Broker to identify projects suitable for your skills and experience. Perform other duties as assigned by the broker or management. Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
2 to 5 years of relevant insurance experience. Property & Casualty and Surplus Lines Licenses (as required by state). Strong organizational, follow-up, communication, and interpersonal skills. Analytical skills to define problems, interpret data, and draw conclusions efficiently. Proactive problem-solving approach, good listening skills, and willingness to support others. Intermediate negotiation skills to influence stakeholders. Ability to interact effectively with diverse personalities and communication styles. Flexibility to adapt to changing work demands and schedule. Ability to manage time independently to complete tasks. Intermediate proficiency in PC software (Word, Excel, etc.). Physical activities are within normal office expectations; movements are within your control. Normal vision requirements, correctable with glasses or contacts; no significant impact from color vision, peripheral vision, or depth perception. Work environment is mainly office-based; some travel may be outside in the elements as part of normal commute. Minimal risk of exposure to hazardous materials or conditions; protective clothing generally not necessary. Seniority level
