Overview

We’re seeking a Senior DevOps and Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust DevOps solutions and automation frameworks in Microsoft Azure environments. In this role, you will focus on supporting cloud operations, driving continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), and mentoring junior engineers. You’ll collaborate closely with architects, developers, and security teams to support cloud transformation projects while maintaining performance, reliability, and compliance. Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and efficient CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar

Apply DevOps methodologies across hybrid infrastructure environments

Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to automate workflows and improve delivery pipelines

Integrate DevSecOps practices into pipelines, including Microsoft Defender for Cloud and automated compliance checks

Deploy and manage observability frameworks with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Prometheus, or Grafana

Administer and optimize infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Ansible

Implement robust security and access controls, including RBAC, ABAC, Key Vault integration, and policy enforcement

Manage and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance

Oversee system performance and resolve complex technical issues

Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures

Coordinate activities across the software development lifecycle, including change and configuration management

Support data integrity, security, and regulatory compliance in line with company and industry standards

Conduct routine system updates, backups, and maintenance

Create and deliver user adoption materials, such as manuals, presentations, and architectural documentation

Stay up to date on emerging technologies to drive innovation and process improvement

Support incident, change, and configuration management, particularly for security-related changes

Demonstrate knowledge and experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure infrastructures

Participate in crisis management, troubleshooting, and proactive testing of security tools and services

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

5+ years of experience in a DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Automation Engineering role

Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, especially infrastructure, governance, and automation

Proven experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI

Skilled in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar

Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell

Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

Familiar with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)

Experience with vulnerability management and incident response

Knowledge of networking concepts, system upgrades, and capacity planning

Strong documentation, training, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Certifications (Preferred/Required): Microsoft AZ-400: Microsoft DevOps Engineer Expert (preferred)

Microsoft AZ-104 / AZ-305: Azure Administrator / Architect (preferred)

Terraform Associate or equivalent cloud automation certification

Additional certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus

ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation is an advantage
