Swampscott Public Schools is looking for a Full-Time Elementary Music Teacher.
The new hire will teach grades K-4 at the new Swampscott Elementary School. This is a .6 Position in Swampscott with potential to teach a .4 position in Nahant, making it a full-time position.
General Music:
Teach students the fundamental principles of music and musicianship skills based on Massachusetts Fine Arts Standards including singing, playing instruments, composing, improvising, and making cross-curricular connections. Teach students how to sing and play easily accessible instruments such as electric keyboards, drums, recorders, handbells, ukuleles, and xylophones. Use up-to-date software and websites to teach music. Teach band to 4 students, including preparing and directing twice-annual concerts. Piano experience is a plus.
