GENERAL SUMMARY : The Vice President of Quality serves as the health system expert and executive sponsor with responsibility for developing and executing a comprehensive quality management program that drives high-value care to achieve clinical excellence. In this role, the Vice President of Quality will be responsible for leading a comprehensive quality management program encompassing both the Central Florida South Division (CFD-S) and the statewide specialty service-lines defined as our AH Institutes. This includes the development and implementation of innovative strategies to optimize the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered care, with a strong focus on driving results that achieve our AH corporate clinical vision. Serves as the accountable executive leader for CFD-S on clinical value transformation initiatives, responsible for multimillion-dollar portfolio to achieve savings that position AH for strong financial position by optimizing processes in clinical care. Collaborates with the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) on the strategic development and implementation of multi-year quality, outcomes, and value plans for the Institutes across the State of Florida. Collaborates with Regional CFD-S CEO and Chief Physician Executive for AH Medical Group to align specialty physician performance with health system strategic priorities to achieve organizational goals. Partners with and advises physician leaders such as executive medical directors, elected medical staff officers, and program directors on quality and value initiatives to improve organizational performance. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED : Knowledge of strategic planning and development Measurement of healthcare quality, outcomes, and value Ability to work in a complex matrix relationship Ability to collaborate and engage physicians, nurses, finance leaders, and administrators in clinical improvement work Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships with various disciplines that foster trust Strong analytical skills Strong leadership skills including public speaking, team building, staff development, communication Knowledge of state/federal regulatory agencies, accreditation standards and national society clinical guidelines Strong critical thinking skills and ability to balance multiple competing priorities Business, financial management and budgeting expertise Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Excel) Ability to mentor, enhance and engage organizational talent EDUCATION REQUIRED : Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business, or Healthcare related field Education Preferred

: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) EXPERIENCE REQUIRED : Ten (10) years of experience working in large healthcare systems in quality and/or specialty service lines such as: cardiovascular, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedics, surgery, or critical care areas Eight (8) years progressive leadership experience in healthcare Quality program development, process improvement and project management Development and implementation of large-scale clinical initiatives Experience with administrative quality databases (Vizient, Premier, Quantros, etc) Experience with national quality programs (Leapfrog, CMS 5-Star, U.S. News, etc.) Experience in managing value-based care programs Experience with national clinical registries and outcomes measurement Experience Preferred

: Leadership experience in hospital or physician practice operations Leadership in clinical IT quality initiatives and EMR integration Nursing Magnet Accreditation LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED : Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Florida

OR Current valid State of Florida or multi state license as a Registered Nurse. Licensure, Certification, or Registration Preferred
