Job Description Description: The 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This role requires diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and addressing emergency repairs while adhering to safety protocols and company standards. Overhead crane maintenance experience is a plus. Requirements: Essential Functions Preventative Maintenance:

Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime. Equipment Repairs:

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, including conveyors, cranes, welding machines, and other shop equipment. Troubleshooting:

Analyze blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to identify and resolve system malfunctions. Safety Compliance:

Ensure all tasks are performed using proper safety equipment and techniques. Identify and address potential hazards promptly. Facility Maintenance:

Conduct repairs on shop facilities, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Collaboration:

Work with other team members, including fitters and machine operators, to coordinate maintenance tasks and minimize disruptions. Recordkeeping:

Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance and reporting purposes. Emergency Repairs:

Respond to breakdowns and emergencies swiftly to restore operations.

Competencies Technical Aptitude:

Ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment, including but not limited to grinders, welding machines, and diagnostic instruments. Safety Awareness:

Education:

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
