Senior Bridge Engineer
Our client in Rochester, NY is seeking a direct hire Senior Bridge Engineer. Salary: $100k-135K DOE Responsibilities: Project management and engineering, from conception to completion, including proposal preparation, design and construction documents, and construction administration under the guidance of senior managers Prepare calculations and design documents including the assembly of plans and specifications for public advertisement and bidding Develop contract specifications and preparation of contract bid documents Review design criteria using relevant codes and standards Perform and review calculations using various software and/or hand calculations Review and provide Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) for project engineering deliverables Develop and supervise the preparation of cost estimates for construction documents Qualifications: BS Civil Engineering New York State Professional Engineer (PE) required 10 or more years of experience related to bridge engineering design and management Must have preliminary and final design and plan production experience Bridge load rating experience is a plus Experience and familiarity with computer drafting and structural analysis software A sound knowledge of AASHTO and NYSDOT Standard Specifications Knowledge of NYSDOT's Locally Administered Federal Aid project process for highway and bridge projects a plus Good writing and strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team to execute tasks in order to complete projects on time and budget Our client offers an amazing benefits package that includes medical, dental, 401k and 401K match, PTO, life insurance, and cost savings accounts.
