As an Art Director on the Creative Team, you’ll craft authentic and innovative marketing stories that showcase our products and engage consumers in exciting ways. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the lifestyle footwear/apparel space and a keen eye for design, with the ability to translate that expertise into compelling visual stories. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Creative Director, designers, and other stakeholders to develop and execute creative concepts that align with our brand vision and elevate our presence in the marketplace. This is a full-time, exempt position with a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office at our HQ in Carlsbad, and 2 days remote). Responsibilities: Develop innovative and visually compelling concepts and photoshoots for campaigns, branding, digital content, etc., in collaboration with the Creative Director and team. Oversee design work, providing guidance and feedback to ensure quality; review and approve design materials before finalization. Collaborate with marketing, product, and communications teams to ensure creative deliverables meet departmental and business needs. Present concepts, gather feedback, and adjust to meet project goals through engagement with stakeholders. Qualifications: Highly creative with strong conceptual and visual skills. Excellent project management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Collaborative team player with the ability to build consensus and drive initiatives. Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of fashion and retail, with digital channel expertise. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, PowerPoint, with a strong understanding of typography, color, and composition. Experience & Education: 9+ years of related professional experience. Bachelor’s degree in art or equivalent experience. Experience in creative environments, including in-house or agency roles. Additional Requirements: Flexibility for late evenings or early mornings when needed. Willingness to travel up to 20% for market research and inspiration.
