Community Outreach Coordinators
for the
Asheville, Boone, Franklin, Marion
and the surrounding areas for mornings, afternoons, evening and weekend hours. Job Summary:
Responsible for assisting individuals and communities in recovering from the effects of disasters through the provision of community-based outreach and psycho-educational services. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide outreach and emotional support to individuals, families, and groups by presenting resources and referrals. Networks with the community and other agencies to ensure needs of survivors are met. Provides presentation materials to community groups on disaster reactions, coping skills, stress, and other relevant educational materials. Utilizes mobile applications to complete data forms and assists with telehealth services when applicable. Conducts needs assessments to create individual plan of service. Provides consistent updates to assessments as needed. Qualifications and Requirements: Experience with behavioral health in crisis and disaster settings a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients and their families. Active listening skills. Timely and accurate data entry. Ability to update and maintain documentation and complete assessments. Empathy and compassion in dealing managing individuals in crisis. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Able to travel to various locations within the region assigned. Mileage reimbursement provided. Hours of Work:
Full-Time and Part-Time Shifts are available including mornings, afternoons, evening and weekend hours. Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $21.00 Per Hour
