Skills

Responsibilities

Audience Development – Earned and Contributed Revenue Generation

Oversee the full audience and donor journey, from initial email subscriber through ticket buyer, season pass holder, donor, and major donor, using segmentation and personalized communications to deepen engagement and support. Manage the organization’s CRM by maintaining accurate records, processing transactions, and supporting data-driven communications and reporting. Build and maintain strong personal relationships with patrons, donors, and advertisers, fostering a sense of community and belonging to drive loyalty and revenue growth. Manage earned revenue streams including ticket and season pass sales, playbill advertising, and related patron services and hospitality initiatives to enhance audience experience and retention. Optimize and execute the organization’s annual fundraising strategy, aligning contributed revenue goals with overall organizational priorities. Oversee individual giving efforts, including cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major donors ($1,500+), renewal of mid-level donors ($100–$1,499), execution of annual appeals, donor acknowledgments, and general donor communications. Lead all aspects of grants and institutional fundraising, including identifying new opportunities, managing relationships with current funders, preparing timely LOIs, proposals, and reports, and monitoring grant payments.

Business Management

Oversee all patron-facing operations, including front-of-house management during performances and box office administration, such as building events and passes in the ticketing system, managing patron communications, and ensuring a smooth experience from purchase to check-in. Manage day-to-day business administration, including subscriptions, registrations, filings, accounts, mail handling, and compliance with all organizational requirements. Maintain accurate organizational records, internal policies, and institutional knowledge to support continuity and operational efficiency. Contribute actively to organizational planning by helping shape long-term strategy, identifying opportunities for growth, and aligning day-to-day operations with the company’s mission and future direction. Support board engagement efforts by helping to formalize board responsibilities, coordinating logistics and materials for board meetings, and facilitating collaboration across staff, board, artists, audiences, and supporters.

Financial Management

In collaboration with the Producing Artistic Director, develop and manage the organization’s annual operating budget, as well as production-specific budgets. Perform weekly bookkeeping to track income and expenses, and ensure accurate reconciliation between point-of-sale systems, bank accounts, and QuickBooks. Monitor cash flow regularly and provide timely budget-to-actual updates and financial reports on income and expenses to the board of directors.

Organizational Leadership

Act as a spokesperson for the organization’s mission and values through speaking engagements, public appearances, and fundraising events or donor meetings. Ensure adherence to best practices in nonprofit theatre management, with a focus on equity policies and ensemble virtues. Foster a positive, inclusive, and equitable work culture that supports collaboration, transparency, and shared purpose.

Passion for NCP's focus on creating community, developing an ensemble, and telling transformative stories 3+ years experience in nonprofit management, arts administration, or related field Proven success in fundraising, audience development, operations leadership, and financial management or an eagerness to participate in professional development in areas where experience is lacking Excellent project management, communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills Strong relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholder groups Comfort with ambiguity and adapting plans to real-world circumstances Ability to motivate, inspire and work collaboratively with staff, Board, and artists Advanced degree in nonprofit management or arts management a plus Familiarity with South Florida arts and culture landscape a plus
