The Director of I&O is accountable for delivering all IT infrastructure, Digital Employee Experience (DEX), end-user computing, and end-user services (EUS). As part of the Cloud and SaaS first approach, this role is expected to drive the organization's Infrastructure and Operations modernization effort. Work closely with other leaders to ensure business continuity and that necessary compliance measures are in place. Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating the development, production, and administrative processing of the organization’s prod and non-prod environments, network, cloud, data center infrastructure, service desk, and desktop support. As a key member of the IT leadership team, this role contributes to the development and execution of the enterprise-wide IT strategy and is responsible for ensuring the I&O strategy is fully aligned, positioning I&O to deliver compelling business value and lead in the protection of company IT assets. This role is required onsite at PODS headquarters in Clearwater, FL. Relocation assistance may be provided for selected individuals currently residing outside this immediate geography. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Define and drive the strategic vision for I&O, aligning with enterprise goals and championing modernization to meet evolving business needs • Lead the transformation of the digital workplace, focusing on enhancing digital employee experience (DEX), productivity, and user satisfaction. • Foster a culture of innovation and digital dexterity, equipping the workforce with modern tools and mindsets to thrive in a hybrid, agile environment. • Harmonize device, application, and service ecosystems to ensure seamless, secure, and efficient end-user experiences across all platforms. • Establish and govern a robust IT service management (ITSM) framework, incorporating automation, AI, and best practices to increase agility and responsiveness. • Develop and manage the annual I&O budget, aligning investments with modernization priorities and enterprise strategic outcomes. • Implement modern network and telecommunications solutions, including and cloud-first strategies to support global scalability and performance. • Ensure enterprise security standards are embedded into workplace modernization initiatives, maintaining compliance and mitigating emerging risks. • Collaborate with Information Security to enforce access controls and protect company assets through advanced identity and access management strategies. • Design and sustain resilient infrastructure and data center operations, including cloud migration strategies and disaster recovery readiness. • Drive enterprise-wide Configuration Management to ensure infrastructure consistency and support continuous modernization efforts. • Lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce digital friction, introducing technologies and workflows that simplify and streamline employee experiences. • Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders, aligning I&O capabilities with business priorities and championing user-centric innovation. • Measure and optimize technology performance, using analytics to track the impact of modernization efforts and continuously refine the approach. • Oversee team development and succession planning, ensuring the I&O function has the talent and skills necessary to support ongoing digital transformation. • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements • Bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, related field or equivalent work experience • 10 or more years of experience in IT or business/industry • Three or more years of leadership responsibilities, including strategy, budgeting and staffing • Demonstrated experience of influencing key stakeholders across the organization and within complex contexts • Preferably proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading IT transformational initiatives in complex, dynamic environments where agile was applied at scale. • PCI, ISO27001, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance experience preferred • Deep understanding of current and emerging I&O technologies and practices, and how other enterprises are employing them • Ability to build consensus, making decisions based on many variables, and gain support for major initiatives. • Strong sense of self, ethics and effort, as well as the willingness to go the extra mile to achieve important goals. • Ability to develop staff including coaching, mentoring and performance management • Solid understanding of LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, Internet, wireless, email security, OS security policies, VPN, web server security, and firewalls in a Microsoft / Citrix environment with basic understanding of other operating systems as needed • Experience supporting corporate Compliance Requirements (Auditors, Risk Assessment, PCI, etc.) and actively participating in compliance activities • Experience designing, selecting, reviewing and implementing vendor solutions / contracts.
