Description Captivation Software is seeking a mid-level systems engineer with at least one relevant knowledge or experience in the desired skills list. This position is contingent upon award.
Requirements
Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph; all candidates must be U.S. citizens.
Minimum Qualifications
Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
Or five (5) years of additional Systems Engineer experience in lieu of a degree.
Required Skills
Experience with circuit-switched and mobile telephony signaling types, networks, and systems, including audio encoding/decoding (7 years).
Desired Skills
Knowledge of specific communication protocols (e.g., GSM, CDMA, 5G, HTS) and community tools.
Application development for IPv4 and IPv6 packet-switched networks, protocols (e.g., VOIP), and technologies (VPNs, encapsulation).
Experience with digital forensics tools such as Wireshark.
Deep understanding of the OSI network stack and associated protocols across layers 2-7.
Knowledge of protocol stacks for data transfer, including routing protocols, encapsulation, tunneling, encryption, and legacy protocols (e.g., SONET).
Additional Information This position is open for direct hires only. We will not consider candidates from third-party staffing/recruiting firms.
Benefits
Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (dependent on experience).
Up to 20% 401k contribution (no matching required, vested from day 1).
Above market hourly rates.
$3,400 HSA contribution.
5 weeks paid time off.
