(one of the following):

Minimum: Preschool and/or Infant Toddler Credential (must obtain Administrator Credential within 3 years) Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (strongly preferred) Early Childhood Exceptional Education Needs or Elementary Education with 18 ECE credits

Registry Requirements:

Minimum Level 9, Level 12 preferred (must secure within 90 days) Experience:

Minimum 1 year in early care education setting, preferably in licensed program Knowledge Areas:

Wisconsin Day Care Licensing, teaching competencies, parent-child relations, W2 Programs, community resources Professional Competencies:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, sensitivity to diverse cultures and low-income families Special Considerations:

Experience with children with special needs desirable WHAT YOU'LL DO As an Assistant Site Director, you'll provide leadership and comprehensive support by: Creating a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment that encourages children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development Assisting families through the enrollment process and helping children acclimate to the environment Ensuring delivery of quality, comprehensive child development services including education, health, nutrition, and family support Managing classroom maintenance, required documentation, and supply assessments Supporting parents and families with involvement opportunities and necessary referrals Performing Director duties in the Director's absence Maintaining compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, Reach Dane policies, Wisconsin State Licensing, and accreditation criteria Building positive relationships with families, children, staff, and community partners Supporting children across infant/toddler, preschool, and school-aged programming WHO WE ARE At Reach Dane, we're reimagining early childhood education as a powerful tool for social transformation.
