The client is actively enhancing operational best practices while adopting a full agile model in software development. The ODX (Operational Data Exchange) organization, part of the Client Data team, is responsible for ensuring multiple Data Exchanges follow these best practices to achieve operational excellence. We are seeking an entry-level to junior software engineer to fill the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role. The candidate should have a good understanding of data engineering best practices, including creating and securing data pipelines and data stores, while documenting and adhering to client policies and procedures. The primary responsibility is to become a subject matter expert for the Human Resource Data Exchange platforms and ensure compliance with client standards. The candidate will also work on improving SRE processes and identifying automation opportunities for monitoring scheduled processes, ETLs, and reports. This will help create effective, reliable, and repeatable solutions to enhance client operational excellence across multiple Data Exchange platforms.
Responsibilities:
Deep knowledge of Workday functionalities, configurations, and alignment with client best practices.
Validate data checks and contribute to improving data quality checks following client policies.
Monitor job health and data quality metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
Optimize data workflows, troubleshoot, and resolve data-related issues.
Develop and maintain reporting dashboards to monitor the health of Data Exchanges, ensuring SLA and SLO targets are met.
Analyze report trends and generate insights to improve data operation efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional support teams to implement best practices during new releases and patches.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience with Workday implementations, configurations, and support; Workday certifications are a plus.
Good understanding of databases, SQL, and/or Postgres.
Knowledge of data pipelines and patterns.
Experience with programming in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
Experience with ETL tools like Informatica.
Experience with Workday development.
Experience with incident and change management tools such as Remedy.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Experience with development tools like Jira, GitHub, Bamboo, JMeter, SonarQube is a plus.
