Job Description

The successful candidate for this position will serve as a Discipline Lead or Area Lead with responsibility for plumbing scope on assigned projects. Job duties include:

Develop and review project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other project baseline documents to meet project requirements and goals Develop and routinely monitor/maintain estimates, schedules, staffing forecasts, and progress Develop/review project design criteria based on applicable local codes and client standards Prepare/check design calculations, specifications, and engineering drawings and ensure that they address all relevant project and regulatory requirements Participate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, inspection, testing, acceptance, installation, and commissioning Provide technical support in the development of permitting and subcontracting packages Serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME) in areas of expertise. Assist in training and development of less experienced engineers and designers including performance appraisal input and career coaching Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements

Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and ten (10) years of work-related experience Mechanical degree or Architectural Engineering degree with focus in mechanical building systems Professional registration (PE License) in mechanical or other relevant engineering field Ability to supervise and lead a diverse design team to work effectively with both internal and external organizations

Other Job Requirements

Minimum of six (6) years of experience working in an engineering design firm developing plumbing construction documents

Preferred Qualifications

Data center industry experience Semiconductor & microelectronics industry experience Life sciences & pharma industry experience Drawing and modeling experience using AutoCAD, Plant 3D, or Smart 3D Practical field experience related to the installation, start-up, and commissioning of plumbing systems

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
