Rose Cay Maritime . Rose Cay Maritime is seeking experienced Chief Engineers to join our growing team. We are hiring for our Gulf and Northeast Fleets. Responsibilities Head of the Engineering Department (reports to the Master). Ensure vessel operation complies with vessel COI (if applicable), stability letter, and all crew fully implement and operate the vessel in accordance with the Company CLASSIFICATION SOCIETY approved TSMS. Report deficiencies in equipment or the vessel, safety hazards, and TSMS non-conformities to the OICNW or Master. Ensure completion of maintenance and inspections as required by the PM or the Master, and maintain records accordingly. Report any inability to complete inspections or maintenance activities. Familiarize the Assistant Engineer with their duties. Maintain records of maintenance activities within the PM. Report machinery deficiencies and repair requests to the Master and Marine Superintendent. Request engine room spares/stores and inventory spare parts, recording them on the Major Spare Parts Inventory Form and in the PM. Identify and, if possible, remedy defects in the vessel's machinery and systems. Serve as the Designated Person in Charge (PIC) for fuel transfers and bunkering. Communicate machinery and system status before taking leave. Seniority level
