Overview Amtrust Financial Services, a fast-growing commercial insurance company, is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Team Lead. The WC Team Lead collaborates with Claim Adjusters to manage and ensure claims activities align with Amtrust Best Practices, while developing and maintaining professional customer and broker relations by identifying and meeting customer needs. The role also involves ensuring staff demonstrates strong customer service principles.
This position can offer relocation assistance to Dallas, TX. Enticing Sign-On Bonus Available!
Responsibilities
Develop short-range area plans and budgets with Claim Supervisors and Managers to achieve company goals.
Secure, evaluate, and develop staff; ensure effective team collaboration.
Keep supervisors and managers informed of case statuses through regular updates.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and controls; consult on claims needing improvement.
Manage vendor relationships, including attorneys, to ensure cost-effective results.
Monitor claims to ensure proactive, cost-effective management.
Participate in negotiations, hearings, trials, and depositions to facilitate timely resolutions.
Support sales and marketing efforts through participation in underwriting and new business development.
Evaluate staff performance regularly through audits to maintain standards.
Stay informed on related laws and communicate updates to staff.
Perform other assigned projects.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree or equivalent.
3+ years of progressive management experience preferred.
Experience in Workers’ Compensation insurance industry.
SIP certification where required.
Knowledge of budgeting and profit/loss management.
Experience with claims management and office systems.
Thorough knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
