As a Lead Superintendent, you will oversee daily field operations across multiple active construction sites-typically managing 6-7 crews and visiting 2-3 sites per day. You will report directly to the Operations Director and work closely with the Project Management and Superintendent teams. Core Responsibilities: Lead field operations for site development projects ranging from $500K-$5M+ Supervise and coordinate 3-4 crew members per site across multiple jobs Ensure production goals are met and jobs stay on schedule and within budget Pre-plan daily and weekly tasks, ensuring equipment and materials are ready before crews arrive Interpret and work from site drawings, cut sheets, and scope documentation Enforce site safety standards and adherence to local codes (especially Fairfax County, Loudoun County, DC Water) Run site meetings and represent the company with clients and inspectors Fill in for crew foremen when necessary-operate skid steers, excavators, dozers, etc. Use MS Office, Outlook, and field reporting software (Procore a plus) MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. We're looking for a proactive leader who understands the flow of a job site and knows how to keep crews productive, safe, and on schedule-even when juggling multiple sites. Must-Haves: Minimum 5 years of Superintendent experience in site development OSHA 30 Certification U.S. Citizenship (due to project requirements) Strong communication skills and field leadership experience Comfortable starting early (typically at yard between 5-5:30 AM) Experience managing multiple jobs and crews simultaneously Familiarity with equipment GPS systems, reading and shooting grade Skilled in reading cut sheets, blueprints, and county plans Utility installation experience (storm, sewer, water, electric) Must be able to operate basic equipment (Skid Steer, Excavators, Dozer optional) Able to lead site meetings and coordinate with clients and PMs Proficient with MS Office and Outlook (Procore a plus) What's On Offer
