– a nationally recognized, AV-rated civil litigation firm – is seeking a talented attorney to join our Chicago office in our
First-Party Property Insurance Coverage practice group.
This dynamic team handles complex first-party property matters at all stages, including pre-suit coverage analysis and litigation. We offer a
competitive compensation package
and robust benefits.
Base salary plus non-discretionary bonuses available up to $36k per year. Butler offers a flexible hybrid schedule, combining remote and in-office work. Firm Overview: With over four decades of experience and eight offices across the country, Butler is home to approximately 140 attorneys. The firm provides strong career advancement opportunities, including a well-defined path to partnership and potential equity ownership for growth-oriented attorneys. Mentorship programs are also available to all interested lawyers. Butler promotes work-life balance by maintaining a reasonable billable hour requirement and fostering a supportive, positive culture. Ideal candidates will possess: A minimum of
two years of relevant experience
who is eager to grow in a collaborative and fast-paced legal environment. Exceptional writing analytical and oral advocacy skills Strong time management and communication abilities A detail-oriented mindset A collaborative, team-first attitude The ability to manage multiple projects and respond to urgent matters effectively Experience in insurance coverage disputes preferred, including but not limited to, policy analysis, coverage opinions, drafting of pleadings and motions, depositions, mediations Other comparable civil litigation experience will be considered Seniority level
