Press Operator Opportunity

Press Operator , you will be at the heart of our production, responsible for operating automatic stamping presses to manufacture high-quality components. Your dedication to
safety, efficiency, and lean manufacturing principles
will be key to our success. This is a
full-time, non-exempt position
based in
Columbus, OH .
Schedule:
Monday
Thursday, 6:00 AM
4:30 PM. Occasional overtime, including additional days, may be required based on business needs. What You'll Do
Operate & Maintain:
Efficiently operate and monitor automatic stamping presses, making necessary adjustments using powered hand tools to ensure continuous production flow. (Approx. 70% of time) Collaborate & Support:
Work closely with department leadership to communicate issues and suggest improvements. Assist teammates with press set-ups and changeovers. (Approx. 10% of time) Ensure Quality:
Perform precise quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools (e.g., reading tape measures to 1/32" tolerance, using protractors for angles to +/- 1 degree) against blueprints and specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area to 6S standards. (Approx. 10% of time) Finish & Package:
Accurately count, package, and palletize finished products according to work orders. Ensure all auxiliary equipment operates optimally. (Approx. 10% of time) What You'll Bring
Experience:
1 year of related experience and/or training is preferred. Education:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. Safety First:

The ability to identify and suggest effective solutions for manufacturing process challenges. Communication:

Excellent comprehension of written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule-based instructions in English. Basic Math & Computer Skills:
Competency in applying basic mathematical principles and using computer or touchscreen interfaces for daily tasks and training. Physical & Work Environment
Physical Demands:
This role requires sustained physical activity, including standing for 8-12 hours, frequent twisting and repetitive bending, and regularly lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials up to 50 lbs (heavier with proper equipment). Work Environment:
You will be working in a manufacturing setting, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures (heat/cold), noise, vibration, and moving mechanical parts. Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $21.00
