Senior DevOps Engineer – Ad Technology – 100% Remote
Daley And Associates is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for a client who is an established advertising technology firm. This fully remote role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys working at the system level and thrives in high-performance, low-latency environments. The company operates its own dedicated infrastructure and is focused on reliability, speed, and cost-effective scalability.
Note:
This is a full-time, remote position. C2C candidates will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
Manage and scale a large fleet of Linux-based servers supporting ad delivery platforms and internal applications. Build and maintain infrastructure automation, service orchestration, and configuration using tools like Bash, Ansible, and systemd. Monitor and improve performance across key system resources including network, CPU, memory, and storage. Investigate and resolve production issues across the full stack—from OS-level logs to application metrics. Support deployment and operations of backend services developed in C#/.NET Core. Contribute to system resiliency efforts including failover strategies, uptime improvements, and observability. Collaborate with engineers to test, benchmark, and tune system performance under load. Provide technical input on infrastructure architecture as the platform continues to grow.
Qualifications:
8+ years in DevOps, systems engineering, or SRE roles managing production infrastructure at scale. Strong experience with bare metal Linux servers including provisioning, performance tuning, and incident response. Deep understanding of Linux internals, system diagnostics, and core network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP). Proficiency in automation/scripting with tools such as Bash, Ansible, and optionally Terraform. Experience supporting or working alongside teams using C#/.NET Core. Familiarity or hands-on experience with Golang is highly desirable. Bonus: Experience in ad tech, real-time systems, or platforms handling high transaction volumes. Comfortable managing hundreds of physical servers and solving infrastructure issues without cloud-based tools. Enjoys working hands-on with low-level systems in a performance-critical environment. Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of taking full ownership of infrastructure reliability and uptime. Collaborates effectively across teams and thrives in fast-paced, high-responsibility settings.
