The role includes: Identifying, developing, and growing new opportunities and new customers within the assigned sales territory. Growing overall sales in the assigned territory. Using CRM, sales forecasting, and strategic planning to ensure the sales and profitability of products, lines, or services. Negotiating prices and terms of sales with new and existing customers. Engaging with all existing customers in the assigned territory. Understanding customers and prospect buying centers. Participating in all local and regional bodies associated with relevant industry associations. Coordinating or participating in promotional activities or trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, or production managers, to market products or services. Consulting with the Sales Manager and Business Managers to gain advice regarding the types of products or services expected to be in demand. Using all sources available to identify prospects. Contacting all leads and understanding their needs and buying center to develop and close on new opportunities. Collaborating with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies or marketing information. Answering customers' questions about products, prices, availability, or credit terms. Quoting prices, credit terms, or other bid specifications. Emphasizing product features based on analyses of customers' needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations. Maintaining accurate and current customer records, using automated systems. Preparing sales contracts for orders obtained and submitting orders for processing. Selecting the correct products or assisting customers in making product selections. Ensuring that tasks assigned to the absentee are adequately covered by them or trained personnel. The ideal candidate will have: A B.A. or B.S. degree in a Business-related or STEM-related discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education. At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a marketing or sales position. Must reside within the assigned geographic region. Territory could be located in the Northeast. Working knowledge of oleochemical products and chemical services. Travel for customer visits within the assigned territory 3-4 days per week; up to 3-4 weeks per month. Strong ability to create technical white papers and documentation. Experience working with cosmetic, pharmaceutical, personal care, pet food, food, or related entities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently to achieve sales goals. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic market environment. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. What's on Offer
