Maryland Client : Leading Organisation in Autonomous Systems for the Defense Industry We’re seeking an experienced Drive-By-Wire System Architect to join a cutting-edge autonomous systems company focused on advancing vehicle autonomy for defense and industrial applications. If you’re passionate about innovating at the intersection of autonomy and vehicle control, and thrive in a dynamic environment where ownership and technical excellence are valued, this is your chance to make an impact. About the Role: You will lead the design and development of Drive-By-Wire systems that serve as the critical bridge between autonomous technology and vehicle platforms. This role requires ownership of architecture, system integration, and collaboration across multiple teams to deliver scalable, safe, and robust solutions. Qualifications: Over 5 years experience with electromechanical systems, preferably in automotive, commercial, or military Drive-By-Wire or active driver assistance technologies. Experience with automotive communication protocols like Automotive Ethernet, XCP and CAN/CAN-FD. Familiarity with systems engineering tools such as requirements management and architecture modelling platforms. Strong understanding of safety standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or equivalent.
