Job Summary The Opportunity We are seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Infectious Disease program at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. This role involves weekend, on-call coverage from 4:00 pm on Fridays to 8:00 am on Mondays. We require a minimum of one weekend shift per month for inpatient rounding at the CDH Main Campus, 30 Locust St, Northampton, MA 01060. The NP/PA will be responsible for: Performing histories and physicals on all new and follow-up infectious disease inpatients. Reviewing cases by phone with attending physicians. Answering calls from providers and outpatients. The NP/PA will support physicians, collaborate with consultants, nurses, case managers, and others to deliver high-quality, efficient patient care. Education: Master’s degree in nursing or physician assistant studies required. Experience: 3-5+ years of infectious disease experience strongly preferred. Certification: Licensed as a Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required upon hire.
