The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Bethel, the regional hub and location of the only hospital in the region, has a population of nearly 7,000. The Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta is home to thousands of lakes and two primary rivers—the Kuskokwim and Yukon.

Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for developing and managing projects on existing, or future operations including analysis of financial viability, customer satisfaction, and clinical effectiveness, while adhering to the guiding principles of the Corporate Napartet Strategy and Angyaq Quality System. The PM may also be responsible for managing an existing program within the Quality and Safety Division, such as the Policy and Procedure Program. Projects are generally broad in scope and impact with the health care delivery system within YKHC. Incumbents are expected to operate with minimal direct supervision and within project scope and corporate mission.

Ensures compliance with established corporate policies and procedures, goals and objectives, performance improvement programs, and safety standards. Works with administration, finance, human resources, technology, and facilities managers to assess and develop new and existing operations and business opportunities, including assessment of supply and demand, revenue and expenses, customer preferences, operational flow and links to improving the health status. Prepares reports and presentations. Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.

Minimum Experience: One (1) to three (3) years progressive experience in Health-related field specific to performance improvement and advance access.

License, Certifications, Registration: N/A

Equipment/Tools: Office machines and computers.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of Baldrige National Quality Award Program and basic theories of supply and demand.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Maybe assigned supervisory responsibility.
