OEPR's work focuses on promoting and protecting public health through emergency preparedness and response; and recognizes that social inequities negatively impact our efforts to maintain and improve the health of NYC during and after a disaster. With these inequities in mind, OEPR is also working to improve its application of a social justice and racial equity lens to its emergency preparedness and response work. OEPR's employees are expected to align their work with OEPR's efforts to combat the harmful effects of systemic injustices on communities and work towards the most equitable post-disaster public health outcomes possible. DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO: -- Lead strategically focused evaluation planning, conduct and reporting to gauge the success of the Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) for the New York City Health Care Coalition (NYC HCC); --Devise strategy and program management improvements through increased evidence base, standardization criteria for documentation and training and develop support tools for program managers; -- Assess capacity and capabilities of the HCC's through consulting with leadership and program managers and use results to drive program updates and improvements. --Lead program implementation and quality improvement for the bureau, including designing standardized tools and processes for program management, providing technical assistance to bureau staff and developing opportunities to evaluate efforts. Coordinate across the division to integrate grant requirements into programming, develop performance measures, and complete timely performance reporting. --Support evaluation for annual strategic goals planning and division-wide workforce initiatives to measure efficacy and identify development areas. --Respond to public health emergencies in a key leadership role, which may include 24-hour availability. PREFERRED SKILLS: --Completion of FEMA IS-100, 200, 700, and 800 --At least 5 years combined experience in public health, program evaluation, or program management --Demonstrated ability to move forward multi-faceted projects with a variety of stakeholders --Comfort and facility working with staff and leadership at all levels --Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, analytical, research, problem-solving, multi- tasking and organizational skills. --Ability to prioritize and work in fast-paced environment with hard deadlines. -- Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
