Brief Description The MEP Coordinator ensures that Grunley Construction subcontractors provide high-quality mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction services in accordance with project-specific cost and schedule requirements.
The MEP Coordinator reports to the Project Executive.
Requirements
Minimum of five (5) years of construction experience with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing procedures and practices.
Successful track record in all aspects of MEP construction.
Responsibilities
Planning
Understand contract documents, phasing plans, MEP systems interrelationships, construction sequencing, and project schedule.
Coordination
Lead coordination drawings process and facilitate problem solving among MEP subcontractors.
Validate design issues and suggest solutions to the PM.
Assistance
Assist design team in resolving MEP issues.
Review MEP submittals with PM.
Log and post all MEP changes and as-built info.
Assist with scope review, budgeting, and justification of MEP change orders.
Supervision
Supervise MEP installation and other work as appropriate.
Lead on-site coordination meetings with subcontractors’ foremen.
Participate in meetings with the superintendent and foremen.
