Certified Nursing Assistants (CENAs)

Position Summary:
As a CENA at Optalis, you'll be a vital part of our resident care team, responsible for providing direct personal care and supporting daily living needs. You'll work under the supervision of licensed nurses and help create a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for every resident you serve.
Key Responsibilities: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility Measure and record vital signs, weights, and other resident information as directed Observe and report changes in residents' condition to nursing staff Assist with transfers, positioning, and use of mobility aids Maintain resident dignity and promote independence Document care and services accurately and promptly in the electronic health record system Support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors Respond promptly and kindly to resident needs and requests Requirements:
Active Michigan CENA certification
in good standing High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred (but not required) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented attitude Ability to lift, push, pull, and move residents using proper technique
