Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Business Process Analyst to support a Program Management Office (PMO) within the United States Coast Guard (USCG). The successful candidate will provide expert analysis, design, and implementation of business process improvements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and overall performance. This role requires collaboration with USCG stakeholders to identify areas for improvement, develop solutions aligned with strategic objectives, and ensure successful adoption of process changes. Key Responsibilities: Business Process Analysis and Improvement : Analyze
existing business processes to
identify
inefficiencies, areas for improvement, and opportunities for innovation. Design, develop, and implement
process improvements in collaboration with USCG PMO stakeholders to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Develop and maintain
accurate process documentation, including process maps, procedures, training materials, and guidelines, in accordance with USCG PMO document management policies. Stakeholder Collaboration and Engagement : Gather
requirements from USCG PMO stakeholders, including employees, management, and external partners, to
develop
solutions that meet organizational needs. Provide
training, support, and guidance to end-users on new processes and systems to ensure successful adoption and sustainability. Collaborate
with stakeholders to ensure process changes are implemented and sustained effectively. Performance Monitoring and Reporting : Monitor and evaluate
process performance using
data-driven analysis and metrics
to measure progress toward goals. Develop and maintain
key performance indicators
(KPIs)
, metrics, and reports to track process performance. Provide
regular updates to stakeholders on process performance, progress, and recommendations for continuous improvement. Required Qualifications: Minimum of four and a half ( 4.5 ) years
of experience in business process analysis, process improvement, and project management. Demonstrated expertise in: Analyzing and improving business processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Developing process documentation, including process maps and training materials. Stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering. Experience supporting: Design and implementation of process improvements. Development and tracking of KPIs and performance metrics. Training and supporting end-users on new processes and systems. Preferred Qualifications: I ndustry certifications such as
Lean Six Sigma
,
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
, or equivalent. Experience in
federal government
or
USCG
business process improvement initiatives. Familiarity with
Agile
project management methodologies and tools such as
CG Teams Planner
or
Kanban
