We are seeking a skilled Interventional Cardiologist for a locum tenens position at a Hospital in West Virginia. This 42-day assignment starts on 05/05/2025, with a flexible schedule of 2-4 weeks per month, including clinic hours and 24-hour night/weekend call coverage. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing a wide range of interventional cardiology procedures, including balloon pumps and Impella device placement. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital environment, providing both outpatient clinic services and emergency interventional care. The cardiologist will be responsible for managing complex cardiac cases, performing interventional procedures, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide interventional cardiology services in both clinic and hospital settings
Perform a variety of interventional procedures, including balloon pumps and Impella device placement
Manage 24-hour call coverage for nights and weekends
Conduct patient consultations and follow-ups in the outpatient clinic
Interpret cardiac diagnostic tests and imaging studies
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Participate in emergency cardiac care and interventions
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Epic EHR system
Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
Provide patient and family education on cardiac health and treatment plans
Participate in quality improvement initiatives as required
Additional Information:
Must be licensed to practice medicine in West Virginia
Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred
Strong clinical skills in interventional cardiology procedures
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable with high-acuity cases and emergency interventions
Flexibility to work 2-4 weeks per month with varying schedules
Note: TAVR procedures are not currently performed at this facility
Possibility of assignment extension beyond the initial 42 days
