This position will report to the DOF-HR Chief and will be responsible for overseeing full-cycle recruitment, employee relations, and various HR projects. The HRBP will step in to assist our HR Generalists in their recruitment processes as well as assisting the HR Chief in more complex HR projects. Minimum Qualifications: Education:

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. AND Experience:

Have (5) five years of experience in progressive strategic human resources management (Human Resources Generalist, Specialist, or Business Partner). Equivalency Notes : An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. One year of graduate course work in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or Public Policy from an accredited college or university may be substituted for each year of the experience requirement. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resource Management and employee and labor relations Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local Government employment regulations Ability to develop and implement Human Resource programs, policies, and procedures Experience in recruitment and talent development Ability to advise all types of employees of policies and procedures Ability to train all employees on Human Resources policies and procedures Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels of the organization Additional Information Background Check Eligible candidates under final consideration for appointment to positions identified as positions of trust will be required to complete authorization for a Criminal Background Check and/or Fingerprint must be successfully completed. Probation All persons, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a mandatory six-month probation.
