Product Development Engineer at Stanadyne Stanadyne is seeking a

Product Development Engineer

to support the design and development of gasoline fuel system components. This hands-on role will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to assist in product design, testing, validation, and manufacturing support. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical engineering background and be eager to grow technical skills in the automotive fuel systems domain.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in the design and development of gasoline fuel system components (e.g., pumps, injectors). Prepare engineering documentation including DVPRs, test plans, and reports. Support test execution and help summarize test data and findings. Contribute to root cause investigations and implement corrective actions under guidance. Run DFMEA reviews and risk assessments with engineering teams. Help generate and revise CAD models and engineering drawings using Creo or SolidWorks. Apply basic GD&T principles and assist with tolerance analysis. Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to support new product introduction and continuous improvement efforts. Communicate with suppliers and customers on technical topics, as appropriate and under supervision. Maintain engineering files and documentation in compliance with company standards. Gain exposure to engineering tools such as FEA, CFD, or 1D modeling (training may be provided). Support the integration of feedback from design reviews and prototype builds.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering 2–5 years of relevant experience in product development (automotive or mechanical systems preferred). Familiarity with 3D CAD software (preferably Creo or SolidWorks) Basic understanding of tolerance stack-up analysis and mechanical drawing standards. Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work within a team. Exposure to or interest in fuel systems, fluid dynamics, and manufacturing processes. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Education and/or Experience: Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering Minimum of 5 years related work experience (related Automotive Gasoline field experience)
