Job Title: Packing Technician Department: Operations Location: Cleburne, TX Pay Band: $14–$16 per hour Employment Type: Full-Time Company Overview: Eden Green Technology is a rapidly growing, innovative company revolutionizing the future of sustainable agriculture. We are seeking passionate, driven, and dependable individuals to join our team as Packing Technicians. This hands-on role is ideal for candidates who enjoy manual labor and are committed to quality and operational excellence. Position Summary: The Packing Technician is responsible for the preparation and packaging of fresh produce in accordance with company quality standards and customer specifications. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and adherence to food safety protocols. Prior experience in packing—especially produce and leafy greens—is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately pack fresh produce into appropriate containers according to customer and internal requirements
Sort and select high-quality products for packing; identify and discard substandard items
Weigh and fill containers to meet specified weight standards using calibrated scales
Handle produce and packaging materials with care to maintain appearance and maximize shelf life
Operate packing equipment and labeling lines efficiently and safely
Perform repetitive tasks at a consistent pace while meeting productivity targets
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of packing areas and equipment in accordance with food safety standards
Assist in organizing and managing inventory and cold storage areas
Support greenhouse packing operations and help with staging, boxing, and labeling of products
Participate in employee training related to quality control and food safety practices
Follow all company food safety policies and sanitation standard operating procedures (SOPs) Strict adherence to food safety standards, PPE use, and cleanliness protocols in accordance with departmental procedures and regulatory standards. Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Capacity to stand and perform repetitive tasks for an entire 8-hour shift
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a steady work pace
Reliable transportation and punctuality
Flexible availability, including the possibility of working weekends and holidays as needed
Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions (ranging from 55°ree;F in Packhouse to 90°ree;F in Greenhouse)
