Job Description Salary: $19-$21 About Us: Applesoft Medical Solutions is a 100% veteran-owned medical supply company specializing in advanced wound care, durable medical equipment (DME), patient mobility, and safe patient handling. We proudly serve patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and government agencies with innovation, compassion, and integrity. Were seeking a sharp, dependable Administrative Assistant to help keep our day-to-day operations organized and efficient inside our DME storefront. This is a vital, client-facing role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, understands medical terminology, and has a proactive, solutions-driven mindset. Responsibilities: Greet and assist customers, clinicians, and vendors both in person and over the phone Schedule equipment deliveries, manage logistics, and coordinate with drivers Process orders, prepare invoices, maintain accurate inventory records Assist with billing, data entry, and medical documentation Organize files (physical and digital), maintain compliance documentation Communicate with referral sources, such as hospitals, clinics, and case managers Perform light warehouse coordination tasks as needed (labels, pickups, equipment tracking) Requirements: Minimum 2 years of administrative experience (medical or healthcare preferred) Strong understanding of medical terminology (DME, wound care, insurance, etc.) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based systems (Google Workspace, etc.) Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently without constant supervision Comfortable working in a small business environment where flexibility is key Bonus: Experience with Medicare/Medicaid, private insurance billing, or DME platforms
