Position Overview: The Luxury Hotel Overnight Manager is responsible for overseeing all hotel operations during the night shift, ensuring exceptional service and guest satisfaction. This role involves managing front desk staff, addressing guest needs, and maintaining the overall safety and security of the hotel. The Overnight Manager plays a key role in upholding the luxury standards of the hotel and reports directly to the Director of Front Office.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Relations:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all guests, addressing inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Ensure a welcoming and luxurious atmosphere throughout the hotel.
  • Act as the primary contact for guest concerns during overnight hours.
Staff Management:
  • Supervise and support front desk agents and other night shift staff.
  • Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing coaching to enhance team performance.
  • Manage staff schedules and ensure appropriate coverage for all shifts.
Operations Oversight:
  • Monitor all hotel operations during the night, ensuring compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
  • Oversee check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accuracy in billing and guest transactions.
  • Prepare and review nightly reports, including occupancy and financial data.
Safety and Security:
  • Ensure the safety and security of guests and staff, responding to any emergencies or incidents.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the hotel premises to maintain a safe environment.
  • Coordinate with local authorities as necessary.
Problem Solving:
  • Address and resolve any operational issues that arise during the night shift.
  • Collaborate with department heads to implement solutions and improve overall service delivery.
  • Maintain effective communication with day management to ensure a smooth transition between shifts.
Administrative Duties:
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, guest complaints, and staff performance.
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed.
  • Prepare reports for management review, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality management preferred.
  • Significant experience in hotel management or a supervisory role, preferably in a luxury environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
