JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a passionate Principal Data Engineer to join us in building the next generation data analytics platform, creating technical specification documents, and providing support for the data solutions across the enterprise.

Job Roles And Responsibilities

Collaborate with business users, technology teams, and executives to understand their data needs to create innovative solutions Optimize BI dashboard quality, consistency, usability, and reliability. Establish BI dashboards best practices. Design semantic data layer for analytics and AI Work with data science, data engineering, and software engineering teams to automate data analysis and visualization, advise on data transformation, and explore ways to design and develop data infrastructure

REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, And Training)

5+ years of experience with Tableau, including best practices and performance tuning. Strong experience with SQL and Python. Strong experience in building the semantic layer using tools such as AtScale, dbt, and Dremio. Experience with data catalog tools such as Informatica, Atlan, and Open Metadata. Experience with big data technology such as Delta Lake, Apache Hive, Apache Spark, Amazon Redshift, and Hadoop. Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Oracle Data Flow and Airflow. Experience in building AI agents using vector database, RAG, MCP server, and CUA models is a plus Thinking through long-term impacts of key design decisions and handling failure scenarios. Ability to provide mentoring to a team of data analysts Ability to meet strict deadlines, work on multiple tasks and work well under pressure Bachelors' degree in computer science, information technology or a similarly relevant field is highly preferable.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $130K - 150k. Specific offers take into account a candidates education, experience and skills, as well as the candidates work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
