Amergis Healthcare Staffing, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Neuro ICU for a travel nursing job in Washington, District of Columbia.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Neuro ICUDiscipline: RNDuration: 13 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hoursEmployment Type: TravelRN -- Neuro ICULocation: Washington, DCHours: 36 hours per weekStart Date: 1/5/2026Shift: NightsLength: 13 Weeks• NIHSS, BLS & ACLS – Required• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state/district - Required• ICU Experience - Required: 3 YearsCerner experience - Required• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program – Required• BSN - Highly desiredThe ICU is a multidisciplinary unit that provides care for neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients. Various types of technology are used to care for and treat critical care patients. This technology includes, but is not limited to, ventilators, entriculostomies, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, IABP, ECMO/tandem heart, Impella, BIS monitors, continuous pulse oximetry, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), gastric tubes, and intravenous infusion pumps. Fulfills the needs of the patients, families and community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with his/her licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements."The RN - Neuro ICU assumes responsibility and accountabilityfor the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care inthe neuro critical care setting. The Neuro ICU RN consistently performsaccording to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care andrecognizing change in patient’s conditions. The Neuro ICU RN must be alert and prepared at all times to respond toemergent situations and they must also be able to remain calm and professionalin times of crisis.
Minimum Requirements:Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which thenurse practices One year of critical care experience is preferred Current BLS card; current ACLS/PALS card (per facilityrequirement)TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Benefits
