Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) telemetry position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and at least 2 years of experience.
Responsibilities Work in the PCU (Progressive Care Unit) of a hospital specializing in brain and spine care Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week, 19:00–7:30 Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4 Every other weekend coverage required Must float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed Care involves telemetry monitoring First-time travelers are welcome to apply Former employees eligible if away for at least 6 months; current employees not eligible for travel roles at Ohio State University hospital locations Scrub color requirement is navy blue Holiday coverage may be required based on shift scheduling Locals are accepted at the same rate Vacation or time-off requests must be submitted with application Candidates must complete fingerprinting promptly after contract signing per state requirements Comprehensive onboarding and support provided
Requirements Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred Experience with telemetry required Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor
