Global Fund Tax Manager (Hybrid, Boston)
Our client is a renowned Investment Management firm in Boston and they are looking for a Global Fund Tax Manager to join their team. This role offers exposure to complex tax issues, cross‑functional collaboration, and the opportunity to influence strategic financial decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a subject matter expert on North American fund tax issues, particularly those involving private funds, alternative investments, and complex product structures.
Support operational tax compliance processes and governance frameworks.
Identify tax considerations affecting complex fund structures and collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to meet product objectives.
Contribute to tax planning initiatives for portfolio managers.
Advise on operational and strategic tax matters and support development of internal processes.
Identify and mitigate tax‑related risks.
Manage relationships with external tax service providers.
Qualifications
7+ years of tax experience, preferably in investment fund taxation or coming directly out of public accounting.
Master’s degree in Tax, Law, Accounting, or Finance.
CPA, CA, or ACCA preferred.
Technical Skills
Deep knowledge of complex retail and private investment structures.
Understanding of complex securities and alternative investments.
Strong operational efficiency skills; Lean Six Sigma or equivalent preferred.
Strong data analysis capabilities.
Experience with project management and automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau).
