Johnson & Johnson invites you to join our Innovative Medicine Supply Chain team as a Project Portfolio Leader for Value Chain Management. This role is responsible for leading cross‑functional projects that drive lifecycle management and strategic portfolio initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a diverse team of J&J Project Managers and Contract Project Managers in delivering a portfolio of projects (product transfers, risk mitigation, supplier qualifications, portfolio optimization).
Mature project execution capabilities through business process ownership.
Collaborate across cross‑functional teams and senior leadership to ensure alignment, transparency, and timely delivery.
Apply advanced project management methodologies (FPX preferred) to guide execution and continuous improvement.
Analyze project data and metrics to drive decision‑making and outcomes.
Influence across the organization & communicate effectively at all levels.
Coach, develop, and provide feedback to a team of contracted and internal project managers.
Manage external and internal resources, KPI ownership, and portfolio prioritization.
Lead and facilitate highly visible issue management with clear accountability.
Maintain standard approaches to tools, systems, metrics and communication across the VCM PMO portfolio.
Build strong cross‑functional partnerships with IMSC, Commercial and DPDS (R&D) organizations.
Continuously seek improvements, challenge status‑quo and drive innovation.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or university equivalent).
Minimum 8 years of related experience leading outcomes for complex projects across drug product lifecycle.
Strong leadership and people‑management skills.
Expertise in project and program management principles.
Demonstrated ability to analyze data, improve business processes, and communicate with senior leaders.
Highly self‑directed, delivering high‑quality results on time and within scope.
Experience/exposure to launch management, tech transfer, manufacturing, planning, operations, or procurement.
Experience leading and mentoring people.
Strong business and financial acumen.
Ability to lead/supervise multiple projects concurrently.
Experience with process ownership and business system deployment.
Strong track record of communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and change management at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Project Management.
Multiple supply chain pillar experience.
Degree in supply chain, engineering, logistics, operations or project management.
FPX Certification.
Location Onsite/hybrid at one of the following sites: Titusville, New Jersey; Horsham, Pennsylvania; Zug, Switzerland; Schaffhausen, Switzerland; Cork, Ireland; Latina, Italy; Leiden, Netherlands; Beerse, Belgium.
